More room, less teeth...

We have arrived in our new home! We have so much more space and are loving living in Goshen!!! It's nice to be closer to Target, Wal-Mart, Meijer, etc...
Also, I just got my wisdom teeth cut out on Thursday, August 27th! It was nice to be able to lay around for a couple days...but I was starting to get a little bored. Blake took good care of me and was a pro at making noodle soup and mashed potatoes! I am definitely ready for some steak and broccoli!

Blake is getting ready to begin another semester of school at Indiana University South Bend. He will be taking 11 credit hours and should stay very busy!! He will apply for the Nursing program in December!! Start praying for this big next step!!

Updates and Tidbits

A little update...
The time has come to leave our very first home - the cute, microscopic apartment that we have lived in for over a year now, and move into a real house. We are very excited about moving to the northside of Goshen, Indiana. We will have a crazy next week and a half or so...we have been packing up our things and making arrangements to get larger vehicles and friends lined up to help us move everything. WOO! We can't wait!

A little tidbit...
Tonight, I am praising the Lord, Creator of the Universe for loving me. I have been in a dry season for the past several months and have really felt far from the Lord. I have felt like He was not listening and didn't care...but He lifted me out. I have been hearing Revelation Song by Phillips, Craig and Dean on the radio. It really never phased me or hit me until I recently saw a video of the song on CCLI.com, a resource used by worship leaders, performed by Kari Jobe. The picture of the song on CCLI TV was so powerful to me. Revelation Song gives a vivid picture of God's people worshipping him in heaven as He sits on His throne.

It's not about me - worship was not made for me. Worship was created by God and for God.

So many times I completely let that idea pass me by. I am so focused on what I can get, how I sound singing, how the person beside me is worshipping, or just singing empty words. Revelation Song brought the rain of the Holy Spirit on my heart. It watered my soul and quenched my thirsty spirit. I serve a HOLY God, who stepped down from His throne above to know me and pursue me.

holy, Holy HOLY! is the Lord God Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing, praise to the King of Kings
YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING, and I will ADORE You.

In each season, I am so amazed at the way that God works in my life and teaches me something new and fresh. My God never fails or gives up on me...even when I have long grown weary waiting on His voice.

Our Journey Thus Far...

By now, we have been married almost a year and a half...so I thought I needed to do what everybody's doing --- start a blog. Let me update you on our what, where, how, etc...

Blake and I are living in Nappanee, IN, where I have lived all of my life, in a small apartment in the second story of an old house by a scary, run-down factory. Blake is currently in school at Indiana University to become a nurse. He has about two years left. He is also working at Memorial Hospital in South Bend as a unit assistant in their Level 2 Trauma Center. I am working in Goshen as the Branch Office Administrator for Renee Drake, a financial advisor with Edward Jones.

I have been leading worship for Senior High youth and we will have our kickoff the beginning of September! I am very excited about this worship mentoring/coaching...and can't wait to see what God has for the students this year. I am always challenged and walk away having learned much more than I feel I have taught.

We are getting ready to move to Goshen into a house that we will rent from some of our friends from church. We are very excited to be in a new place...well, sort of new...and be a little bit more on our own. We will also have much more room to entertain!!! So come on up to G-town!!

Beyond things that we are doing...we have a dog, Dozer, who is a pug/beagle mix. He is quite the dog...we aren't really sure if he's a real dog or demon-possessed, but we love him anyway...he keeps me entertained and exercised. :)

Blake and I are working hard to keep the post-wedding weight off...I have actually lost 15 pounds and I'm pretty sure that Blake has lost a little bit of weight and is getting RIPPED!!!

We are definitely enjoying this season of life and can't wait to see what's next...
